At this point this close to the release of Shadowkeep, this is likely to most benefit players who want to do the Garden of Salvation raid on day one of its release. With that in mind, part of spec'ing the perfect set of armor in Destiny 2 is not only about the perk and stat rolls that players are able to get from RNG, but also pairing armor mods to get the most out of a build. Even developer Bungie said it expects players who have good sets of the current armor to transition to Armor 2.0 much more slowly until they earn and unlock more mods and are able to build an Armor 2.0 set to match or rival their current best. Even though Armor 2.0 is coming soon to Destiny 2 in the Shadowkeep expansion, there is still good reason for some players to go after a perfectly built set of current armor.
